MONDAY VINYASA YOGA - 5.30-6.30PM MEREWETHER SLSC (CLASSES have been on hold for the last of Winter and START again Monday the 9th of OCTOBER)

In this 60 minute class you will learn about and build upon the foundational asanas (postures) in Hatha Yoga. There will be breathing exercises, mediation and a mix of postures to engage both stamina and relaxation. There is an emphasis on moving with the breath to develop a sense of mindfulness as well as correct alignment (which means taking care of your joints and muscles to make sure your body not only looks like it is in the right position, but the systems within it are being targeted safely and for maximum benefit). This class will get your body working, whilst aiming to leave you feeling calm and relaxed! If open to it, you will also learn how to integrate the practice of yoga into your everyday life.


INVESTMENT: $15 ($12 student/concession) or you can buy a 5 class pass for $60 (cash only).

Things to note:

  • BYO mat
  • Please do not attend classes in your first trimester of being pregnant. After this please contact Emmy to discuss your options
  • Please consult a doctor before starting a yoga practice if you have any serious current or previous health issues/injuries
  • Try to come to class with an empty stomach
  • Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and wear comfortable clothing (wear some warm clothing/socks for the relaxing parts)
  • Some props will be provided but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have any
  • Try to arrive 5 mins early, especially if you are new to the class
  • Bring an open mind
